Meet American Bhau ...

My name is Rahul Patil. I was born in a small village in Maharashtra, India. As the son of a central government employee, I spent my childhood moving across India every four to five years. Looking back I now appreciate how this exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives has shaped who I am.

I excelled academically during school, securing 11th rank in the state's 12th board examinations. After studying computers at BITS Pilani, I made my way to the United States as a software developer. Early in my career, I found myself drawn to the idea of building something meaningful of my own. The traditional 9-to-5 structure never quite made sense to me, and I consistently sought ways to gain more control over my time. In the aftermath of Covid, I took an extended six-month break from work, special thanks to Atlassian for providing this valuable opportunity. During this period, I traveled, delved into books, and engaged in deep introspection. This time of self-discovery crystallized my desire for a new challenge.

All this eventually led me into content creation, where I launched my YouTube venture with my wife and business partner. We had previously dabbled in YouTube with 'Desi Tesla Dad' chronicling our camping/travel adventures, but through 'American Bhau,' we think we've discovered our true calling. We are passionate about creating unique stories for our online community through podcasts and videos while harnessing the power of AI. These stories typically feature a unique subject or guest. Through these stories we hope to inform and inspire our global audience.

Meet Our Creative Force ...

My name is Pallavi Chivte - Patil. I am from Satara and I have completed my bachelors in Architecture from the renowned JJ School Of Arts, Mumbai. I have worked with various architecture firms both in India and US during my professional journey.

During the pandemic, I expanded my skill set by completing a UI/UX certification, which deepened my understanding of user-centered design, digital experiences, and interface aesthetics. This knowledge has further enriched my approach to storytelling, content creation, and audience engagement.

As a co-owner and 'Creative Director' of 'American Bhau', I ensure our content and media strategy is aligned with market trends and viewer demands. I am actively involved in the content creation journey starting from the ideation phase to publishing. Whatever content ends up on 'American Bhau' always has to go through my approval :)

My name is Chetan Mane. I'm a storyteller, video editor, cinematographer and YouTuber. I left the corporate world to follow my passion. Now, I successfully run a storytelling YouTube channel with a majority US audience, constantly learning and evolving with each step. I have been with 'American Bhau' team for almost a year now, mostly taking care of the editing workflows and also helping with content strategy.
